Job Title: Application Scientist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Application Scientist to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Remote, Direct Hire opportunity is ideal for a bioprocessing professional who enjoys combining scientific expertise with customer engagement and technical collaboration. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, automation, and commercial teams while helping organizations evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, deep bioprocess knowledge, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions.
Compensation:
$110,000 - $130,000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Application Scientist:

• Serve as a scientific advisor by providing technical guidance related to bioprocess manufacturing, process development, instrumentation, and operational optimization.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support customer discussions, evaluate technical requirements, and contribute to solution design and implementation planning.
• Facilitate consultations and presentations that help organizations understand how process technologies, monitoring tools, and automation systems can support manufacturing goals.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to align process science considerations with system integration and operational performance objectives.
• Support advanced therapeutic and biologics manufacturing initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international teams.

Qualifications and Skills for the Application Scientist:

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or higher in a life sciences, biotechnology, engineering, or related scientific discipline with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in upstream processing, bioreactor operations, process scale up, and manufacturing environments within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience working with bioprocess equipment, analytical technologies, process monitoring tools, controlled systems, and automation platforms.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer facing abilities with a proven track record of collaborating across technical and nontechnical groups.
• Experience supporting geographically diverse teams and global organizations; familiarity with industry leading bioprocess technologies is preferred.
