Job Title: Product Chemist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Product Chemist to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This onsite Contract to Hire opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana offers the chance to perform analytical testing that supports product quality, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing operations within a regulated laboratory environment. The selected candidate will work closely with quality and laboratory professionals while gaining exposure to critical testing processes and documentation practices. Success in this role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting.
Compensation:
$23 to $26/hour
Work Schedule:
Flexible schedule with core hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; employees may work earlier or later as coordinated with the team
Key Responsibilities of the Product Chemist:
  • Perform analytical testing of production, release, and stability samples using established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Analyze results utilizing a range of laboratory instruments and techniques, including chromatography, dissolution testing, and other routine analytical methods.
  • Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation to support compliance, traceability, and data integrity requirements.
  • Review laboratory records, analytical data, and technical documentation to help ensure accuracy and adherence to quality expectations.
  • Support ongoing laboratory operations by contributing to process improvement efforts, cross functional initiatives, and additional testing activities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills for the Product Chemist:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant pharmaceutical laboratory experience will be considered.
  • Experience working in a cGMP regulated laboratory environment with a background in pharmaceutical product testing and analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards, including familiarity with applicable compendial requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Hands on experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, and wet chemistry methods, along with proficiency using laboratory data management systems and chromatography software.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
