Job Title: Production Planner

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Production Planner to join our client to support inventory planning, supplier coordination, and material availability across manufacturing operations. This direct hire opportunity is located in West Chester, PA and offers an onsite work environment. The Production Planner will play a key role in balancing customer demand with supply requirements, helping ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to drive strong supplier performance and support uninterrupted production.

Compensation:
$70,000-$75,000 annually, plus annual bonus opportunities

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Production Planner:

  • Manage purchasing and replenishment activities by analyzing demand trends, forecasts, inventory levels, and supplier lead times to maintain material availability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and order fulfillment, proactively escalating potential delays or disruptions that could impact production schedules or customer commitments.
  • Partner with internal departments, including quality, technical, and operational teams, to address material shortages, supplier concerns, and supply chain risks.
  • Build and maintain productive vendor relationships through ongoing communication regarding expectations, delivery schedules, and order status updates.
  • Support inventory control initiatives by participating in cycle counts, physical inventory activities, and investigations into inventory discrepancies.
  • Evaluate inventory data and supply chain metrics to identify improvement opportunities and help maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications and Skills for the Production Planner:

  • Bachelor's degree required; coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, or a similar supply chain function.
  • Working knowledge of GMP environments and regulated manufacturing standards, including FDA-related requirements.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project management software, with the ability to analyze data and support planning decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and interact professionally with external suppliers.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who can work independently, contribute within a team environment, and drive projects toward successful completion.
