Job Title: Principal Scientist – Technical Services
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Principal Scientist – Technical Services to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This onsite direct hire opportunity in Seymour, Indiana offers the chance to play a critical role in advancing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes while supporting products throughout development, launch, and commercialization. The position partners with multiple business functions to resolve technical challenges, drive process improvements, and ensure reliable production outcomes. Success in this role requires strong scientific expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex priorities in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Compensation:
$110,000–$150,000
Work Schedule:
Primarily first shift, Monday through Friday; availability required for occasional on call and after hours manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities of the Principal Scientist – Technical Services:

• Lead scientific and technical initiatives related to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient product advancement from development through commercial production.
• Analyze operational challenges, conduct investigations, and develop practical solutions that improve process performance, product quality, and manufacturing reliability.
• Coordinate cross functional efforts with quality, operations, validation, regulatory, and scientific teams to support ongoing production and strategic business objectives.
• Design, execute, and interpret technical studies utilizing statistical methods to establish process understanding, identify critical variables, and drive continuous improvement activities.
• Prepare, review, and maintain complex regulatory and quality documentation while providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced scientific staff.

Qualifications and Skills for the Principal Scientist – Technical Services:

• Advanced experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing environments with a strong focus on solid oral dosage products.
• Demonstrated success leading technical projects involving process development, scale up activities, validation, commercial production support, and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of current good manufacturing practices and experience creating and reviewing technical, quality, and regulatory documentation.
• Proficiency in experimental design, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and scientific problem solving within a regulated setting.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future sponsorship requirements.
