Job Title: CNC Machinist and Mold Maker
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist and Mold Maker to join our client to support the production and maintenance of high precision tooling used in manufacturing operations. This role focuses on machining, repairing, and optimizing injection molds and related components to ensure consistent product quality. The ideal candidate will contribute to efficient shop operations through technical expertise, careful planning, and adherence to quality and safety standards. This is a hands on position that requires both independent work and collaboration across the tool room.
Compensation:
$30 to $40 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist and Mold Maker:

• Operate and maintain CNC vertical machining centers while performing precision machining and grinding to create and repair tooling components
• Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and schematics to execute machining tasks that meet exact specifications and tolerances
• Program and adjust CNC machines using G code and M code, leveraging Mastercam to support efficient production processes
• Inspect, assemble, and test molds, tools, and fixtures while using precision measurement instruments to ensure quality standards are met
• Plan workflows, select appropriate materials and tooling, and perform routine equipment maintenance while following established safety practices

Qualifications and Skills for the CNC Machinist and Mold Maker:

• Demonstrated experience in CNC machining, tool and die work, and precision manufacturing, with mold making exposure preferred
• Proficiency in CNC programming and editing, including experience with Mastercam and strong understanding of machining fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply GD and T principles along with working knowledge of shop math including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality inspection practices to maintain tight tolerances and specifications
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting physical demands such as lifting up to 45 pounds and standing for extended periods
