Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our client to support laboratory operations and deliver high quality analytical data that informs product development and regulatory compliance. This onsite, contract to hire position is based in Seymour, IN and plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of testing across a range of pharmaceutical materials. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to method development, regulatory submissions, and continuous improvement efforts. You will work closely with cross functional teams while helping guide junior staff and maintain strong laboratory standards.
Compensation:
$40 to $45 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a break
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Analytical Chemist:
  • Perform and oversee chemical and physical testing for raw materials, in process samples, finished products, and stability studies using a range of analytical and wet chemistry techniques
  • Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods in alignment with regulatory expectations while supporting documentation for submissions such as IND, NDA, and ANDA
  • Ensure data accuracy through detailed review, proper documentation practices, and adherence to cGMP standards and laboratory systems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, improve laboratory processes, and manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members while collaborating with cross functional partners to support project goals
Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Analytical Chemist:
  • A degree in chemistry or a related scientific field is preferred, with equivalent laboratory experience considered
  • Proven experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, dissolution, Karl Fischer, and titration methods
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines including ICH, FDA, and USP standards within a laboratory environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members
  • Experience working with laboratory systems such as LIMS and CDS along with standard data analysis tools
