Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client to support the effectiveness and integrity of quality systems within a regulated medical device environment. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with global standards while strengthening processes related to product quality, safety, and reporting. The Quality Engineer will contribute to investigations, data analysis, and continuous improvement efforts that directly impact patient safety and operational excellence. This is a hybrid opportunity based in West Chester, PA.
Compensation:
$100,000 annual salary plus bonus
Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule with 2 to 3 days in office; specific shift details not provided
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
- Manage product complaint intake, investigation, documentation, and reporting while maintaining accurate records and supporting trending analysis
- Drive CAPA activities by coordinating investigations, facilitating root cause analysis, and ensuring timely completion of corrective and preventive actions
- Analyze quality system data and develop recurring reports and metrics across complaints, CAPAs, nonconformances, and related quality indicators
- Support regulatory compliance by preparing submissions such as medical device reports and assisting with audits, inspections, and external reporting requirements
- Contribute to quality system improvements through document control, risk assessments, training support, and collaboration with development and cross functional teams
Qualifications and Skills for the Quality Engineer:
- A degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
- Hands on experience in a regulated environment with exposure to standards such as ISO 13485, MDR, or similar frameworks
- Working knowledge of complaint handling processes and CAPA investigations, with the ability to apply structured problem solving methods
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel for data analysis including pivot tables and charting
- Excellent communication skills combined with initiative, attention to detail, and familiarity with electronic quality management systems is a plus
