Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our client to support and advance regulatory compliance, documentation quality, and certification readiness across their operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring products, processes, and records align with applicable U.S. and international regulatory standards. The position is based onsite in Norwalk, CT and follows a temporary-to-hire employment structure. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-driven mindset and the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance that supports business continuity and customer trust.

Compensation:
$30–$35/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Regulatory Affairs Specialist:

  • Oversee day-to-day regulatory and quality activities, including maintaining compliance with industry certifications and government requirements.
  • Monitor, interpret, and summarize regulatory developments by conducting ongoing research and preparing clear updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Review and validate safety data sheets, product labels, certificates of analysis, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.
  • Partner with commercial teams to deliver regulatory documentation and responses that support customer inquiries and sales initiatives.
  • Support the development and upkeep of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and organized regulatory records.
  • Assist with regulatory submissions, agency reporting, and initiatives aimed at improving regulatory and quality processes.

Qualifications and Skills for the Regulatory Affairs Specialist:

  • A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physical sciences, or a related discipline is preferred, with equivalent hands-on experience also considered.
  • Approximately two to three years of experience working in a regulatory-focused role within pharmaceutical, food, or chemical environments.
  • Working knowledge of regulations governing SDS authoring, labeling, and product safety, including TSCA, OSHA, and FSMA.
  • Familiarity with occupational and transportation safety requirements (such as OSHA, DOT, and IATA) and related compliance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct regulatory and legal research across U.S. and international jurisdictions, including Canada and REACH frameworks.
  • Comfortable navigating electronic regulatory portals and reference standards (e.g., USP, FCC, NF), with strong technical documentation skills.
  • Strong written communication, attention to detail, and organizational abilities, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
