Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our client to support safe, compliant, and high quality pharmaceutical services for patients and providers. This onsite contract role based in Bakersfield, California plays a key part in ensuring accurate medication preparation, regulatory adherence, and clear clinical communication. The pharmacist will contribute to daily operations by overseeing compounding activities, verifying prescriptions, and serving as a trusted clinical resource. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a regulated, fast paced environment and values patient focused care.
Compensation:
$70 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Pharmacist:

• Oversee prescription processing activities including compounding, filling, labeling, and prepackaging to ensure accuracy and quality standards are consistently met
• Perform final verification of medications prior to dispensing, ensuring pharmaceutical integrity, potency, and compliance
• Collaborate with prescribers to receive new orders, clarify prescriptions, and secure refill approvals as needed
• Provide patient counseling and respond to clinical questions from both patients and healthcare professionals
• Ensure ongoing compliance with USP guidelines, state pharmacy regulations, and applicable federal requirements

Qualifications and Skills for the Staff Pharmacist:

• Active California Registered Pharmacist license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
• Three to five years of experience working within a regulated pharmacy environment, including compounding exposure
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving abilities with a patient service mindset
• Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a dynamic, fast paced setting
