Job Title: VP of Engineering and Design
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a VP of Engineering and Design to join our client to help drive technical excellence, operational alignment, and long term product innovation within a manufacturing environment. This onsite, direct hire role is based in Hatfield, PA and plays a critical part in shaping engineering strategy while supporting day to day execution. The position blends strategic leadership with hands on technical involvement to support growth, efficiency, and scalability. This leader will work closely with cross functional partners and executive leadership to ensure engineering delivers measurable business impact.
Compensation:
$160,000 to $175,000 base salary plus discretionary bonus
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, onsite
Key Responsibilities of the VP of Engineering and Design:
• Oversee and guide engineering, tooling, and product design teams while building a collaborative, accountable culture
• Lead talent development efforts including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning for future engineering leaders
• Ensure successful project delivery through clear scope definition, resource planning, and execution oversight
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, tooling strategies, and design standards
• Partner with operations, manufacturing, and senior leadership to align engineering priorities with organizational goals
Qualifications and Skills for the VP of Engineering and Design:
• Extensive experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment, preferably within plastics or injection molding
• Strong technical background in injection molding, tooling, manufacturing processes, and product design
• Proven ability to develop teams, build trust, and lead through change
• Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands on involvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence across technical and non technical stakeholders
