Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to join our client to support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while supporting long term operational goals. The Project Engineer will collaborate with cross functional teams, vendors, and contractors to oversee installation, qualification, and documentation activities for site equipment. This is a contract to hire, onsite position based in Austin, Indiana.
Compensation:
$75,000 to $100,000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

• Support planning efforts for the department by contributing to annual objectives, project strategies, and capital budgeting activities.
• Oversee capital projects up to roughly $500k, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines and assisting with the management of related expenses.
• Guide contractors and equipment vendors during installation, start up, maintenance, and repair efforts while ensuring safety practices are upheld.
• Support system qualification activities, coordinate procurement of spare parts, and help maintain strong operational reliability across facility and process equipment.
• Assist in updating equipment drawings, drafting qualification documents and SOPs, and ensuring equipment changes are recorded within the site quality system.

Qualifications and Skills for the Project Engineer:

• A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred; comparable hands on experience is also valued.
• Experience supporting capital projects or equipment installations in a manufacturing or facility operations environment.
• Strong ability to collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to meet project goals.
• Familiarity with documentation practices such as SOP creation, equipment drawings, qualification protocols, or change controls.
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and maintaining organized project documentation.
