Job Title: Compounding Pharmacist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Compounding Pharmacist to join our client to support safe, accurate, and compliant preparation of sterile and non sterile medications. This role plays a key part in daily pharmacy operations, ensuring high quality compounding practices, strong oversight of staff, and adherence to regulatory standards. The pharmacist will also contribute to clinical decision making, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives. This position is onsite in Exton, PA and is a direct hire opportunity.
Compensation:
$140000 to $150000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday between 2 PM and 10 PM or 8 AM and 5 PM with flexibility across all shifts; weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities of the Compounding Pharmacist:
• Oversee and perform sterile and non sterile compounding activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation across all preparation types.
• Guide pharmacy technicians and other staff, supporting workflow, maintaining facility readiness, and reinforcing quality and safety standards.
• Participate in clinical monitoring, product selection, and daily patient care operations while providing drug information to healthcare partners and patients.
• Contribute to policy development, quality assessment, accreditation requirements, and regulatory compliance efforts within the facility.
• Manage inventory, maintain equipment and compounding areas, and assist with training new team members.
Qualifications and Skills for the Compounding Pharmacist:
• A BS in Pharmacy or PharmD with an active and current pharmacist license in good standing; continuing education compliance required.
• Experience in sterile compounding along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Skilled in supervising staff, communicating effectively, and using standard computer systems in a pharmacy setting.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 pounds and working in a clean room environment with protective gear.
• Knowledge of USP standards and applicable state and federal regulations, with a commitment to training and ongoing professional development.
