Job Title: Charge Capture SME
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Charge Capture SME to join our client and support key revenue integrity initiatives across their organization. In this role, you will guide the optimization of charge capture practices, strengthen the connection between documentation and billing, and contribute to strategies that safeguard reimbursement accuracy. This position is ideal for a highly knowledgeable subject matter expert who can independently assess complex clinical and professional billing areas and drive meaningful process improvements. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity with flexible hours.
Work Schedule:
No set hours; hourly work with minimal expected overtime.
Key Responsibilities of the Charge Capture SME:

• Lead the assessment and enhancement of charge capture workflows to support accurate reimbursement and revenue protection.
• Oversee the alignment of clinical documentation, charging structures, and coding practices to strengthen billing accuracy.
• Conduct audits and analytics to identify revenue leakage and recommend process improvements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for specialized procedural areas, offering guidance on high?complexity charging and coding scenarios.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine policies, charging methodologies, and operational standards.

Qualifications and Skills for the Charge Capture SME:

• Deep experience in revenue integrity, charge capture optimization, and coding?driven workflows.
• Background supporting Perioperative Services, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Cardiology, and/or Professional Billing.
• Current or past professional coding certification highly preferred.
• Ability to operate independently with a strategic, revenue?focused mindset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem?solving skills.
