Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a CDI and Coding SME to join our client to support enterprise-wide documentation, coding strategy, and revenue integrity initiatives. This role plays a key part in enhancing compliant reimbursement by uncovering trends, strengthening query practices, and advising on best practice documentation improvement methods. The SME will partner closely with CDI, Coding, and Revenue Integrity leaders to shape strategy and guide teams toward high impact results. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys applying coding expertise beyond day to day production work to influence broader organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities of the CDI and Coding SME:

• Guide CDI, Coding, and Revenue Integrity teams by offering strategic insights around compliant documentation and coding practices.
• Examine inpatient and outpatient workflows to identify opportunities that strengthen revenue accuracy and support regulatory compliance.
• Develop and enhance targeted query approaches, review methodologies, and trend based improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to act on identified patterns and drive process improvements tied to documentation quality.
• Leverage deep facility coding expertise to educate teams, inform prioritization, and support broader revenue integrity initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills for the CDI and Coding SME:

• Strong background in facility coding with active coding certification.
• Experience working within CDI or revenue integrity environments, preferably in roles that emphasize process evaluation and strategy.
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and coding trends to develop practical, compliant recommendations.
