Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to join our client to support the seamless coordination and execution of construction projects from initial planning through final delivery. In this role, you will help drive project success by organizing documentation, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring materials, schedules, and costs remain on track. You will partner closely with project leadership, site personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders to keep work progressing efficiently and in alignment with quality and safety expectations. This position is fully onsite in Cincinnati and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements in project operations and delivery outcomes.
Compensation:
$50,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience)
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

  • Support overall project coordination by maintaining documentation, managing submittals/RFIs, and ensuring accurate reporting across teams.
  • Assist with engineering and design reviews, material takeoffs, and procurement tracking to keep schedules and deliverables aligned.
  • Help oversee cost control efforts by monitoring budgets, preparing scopes of work, and coordinating with subcontractors throughout onboarding and award processes.
  • Promote quality and safety by contributing to plans, verifying materials, and collaborating with field personnel on constructability and project execution methods.
  • Analyze project performance data to identify risks, recommend improvements, and provide insights to senior leadership, including participation in process?enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills for the Project Engineer:

  • Experience in construction management or a comparable field (1–3 years), with strong exposure to project coordination and cross?functional teamwork.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction software tools such as Procore, along with strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Detail?oriented problem solver capable of working independently, managing competing priorities, and performing well under strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks early, adapt to shifting requirements, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • A related bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent hands?on experience is also valued.
