Job Title: Production Planner
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Production Planner to join our client to support efficient material flow, accurate inventory operations, and reliable supplier performance. This role ensures production teams have the resources needed to meet customer commitments while maintaining compliance and operational accuracy. Located onsite in West Chester, PA, this direct-hire position plays an essential part in aligning procurement activities with business forecasts and overall supply chain goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong analytical and communication skills.
Compensation:
$70,000 – $75,000 annually + annual bonus
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, onsite

Key Responsibilities of the Production Planner:

  • Oversee material purchasing by placing timely orders, assessing demand signals, and adjusting procurement plans based on forecasts and vendor lead times.
  • Monitor supplier performance closely and communicate risks or disruptions to internal teams to protect on-time delivery commitments.
  • Partner with Technology, Quality, and other departments to resolve supply issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and support vendor evaluations.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities, identifying root causes of discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through clear communication, performance expectations, and ongoing status updates.

Qualifications and Skills for the Production Planner:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a technical discipline is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 1–3 years of planning, logistics, or supply chain experience, ideally in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMP standards and FDA requirements, with the ability to apply them in daily planning activities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, prioritize competing demands, and manage projects with a high level of accuracy.
