Job Title: Sales Development Representative
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a
Sales Development Representative to join our client and help drive new business opportunities through proactive outreach and strategic lead generation. In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to identify prospects, spark meaningful conversations, and support efforts that expand market presence in cutting-edge technical industries. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, relationship-building, and engaging with organizations in high-growth sectors. You will contribute directly to pipeline development and play a key role in connecting potential clients with tailored solutions.
Compensation:
$56,000–$65,000 base salary + quarterly commission
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM | Fully Onsite in Cincinnati, OH
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Development Representative:
- Develop and maintain a strategic list of potential clients through online research, CRM tools, and industry platforms.
- Conduct consistent outbound outreach—phone, email, and social media—to spark conversations, qualify prospects, and generate interest.
- Coordinate introductory calls and discovery meetings for senior sales leaders, ensuring seamless handoff of qualified leads.
- Support sales initiatives by assisting with event outreach, trade show preparation, booth activities, and presentation materials.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive insights to enhance prospecting efforts.
Qualifications and Skills for the Sales Development Representative:
- Prior experience (2+ years) in sales, business development, or customer-facing work, or a strong desire to launch a career in sales.
- Strong communication abilities with comfort engaging new contacts and conducting cold outreach.
- Highly organized with solid research capabilities and attention to detail.
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts quickly.
- Familiarity with CRM software, or eagerness to learn, along with an interest in science, technology, engineering, or construction-related industries.
